Nhân mùa tựu trường, đôi điều phụ huynh cần lưu ý khi đưa con em đến trường. Những ngày đầu đến trường bao giờ cũng là những ngày quan trọng. Con em cần được chuẩn bị ra sao? Sự thành công hay thất bại của đời học sinh thường được xét về hai mặt, học vấn và đức hạnh. Vì vậy, những bậc phụ huynh có con ở vào tuổi đi học, từ mẫu giáo tới đại học, đều quan tâm đến hai điều: thành quả học vấn cũng như hạnh kiểm của con mình. Tuy nhiên, tùy theo tuổi và cấp lớp của con, phụ huynh nên có những chuẩn bị cho con khác nhau như sau:

-Your child spends large amounts of time on-line, especially at night.

-You find pornography on your child's computer.

-Your child turns the computer monitor off or quickly changes the screen on the monitor when you come into the room.

-Your child is using an on-line account belonging to someone else.

-Your child receives phone calls from men you don't know or is making calls, sometimes long distance, to numbers you don't recognize.

-Your child receives mail, gifts, or packages from someone you don't know.

-Your child becomes withdrawn from the family.

Signs: "Being afraid or reluctant to go to school

Appearing distressed, depressed or tearful

Staying close to adults (school staff) rather than peers

Coming home with unexplained bruises or scratches

Having torn clothes or damaged books

Having difficulty sleeping

Needing extra money for no apparent reason.

YOU SHOULD: Talk to your child in detail about any incidents of bullying, Show empathy, Control your emotions and protective instincts, Report incidents of bullying to school officials."
